This photo in no way captures the huge mass of venders and shoppers that is the L’isle-sur-la-Sorgue twice weekly market. The (smaller) Thursday market is about twice as large as any market we’ve previously visited, and the Sunday market is ginormous. Interwoven with the many different types of food stands, we’ve seen stands selling clothing, shoes, yarn, fabric, and small electronics.

Veggie Burger from Lou Burger
Really tasty. Brian asked if we could go back every day.
Puzzling Ice Cream
Brian looked puzzled in every shot that I took of him and Theo with this giant bowl of ice cream. There seem to be approximately 2.3 ice cream shops for every resident of L’isle-sur-la-Sorgue.
What We Recommend Most: Lyon
I’ve posted before about how much I enjoyed Lyon, but I’ll say it again: I think this is an an amazingly livable, relaxed city. Here are some of our favorites from our one month stay!
Fontaine-de-Vaucluse
Leaves in the Water
Fog in Gordes
We spent a few hours in Gordes and watched (and felt) the fog roll in. Many of the shops were closed, but we found a place to buy hot chocolate, the perfect foggy-weather drink.
Water!
Forget picturesque villages. Theo is in this trip for the fountains and water pumps.
