Three playgrounds we visited in West Cork, all overlooking water.
Yet Another Playground
There are so many playgrounds in Lyon that deciding where to visit on any particular day can be overwhelming. (We acknowledge that this is a lovely problem to have.)
Playing After Dark
The sun sets around 4 pm in Zagreb in December. That doesn’t really matter, because it’s amazing here at night. There are Christmas markets everywhere with mulled wine (always), roasted chestnuts (generally), live music (sometimes), and ice skating rinks (okay, only one of those, but a really lovely one).
Fındıklı Parkı
Our apartment in Istanbul is lovely, but in a more upscale-hotel-centered neighborhood than I realized, which means that we haven’t found many nearby playgrounds.
Finding Our Bearings
The first few days in a new country always feel a little overwhelming, as I struggle to pronounce basic words, decipher public transportation options, and locate a playground. Today, when all three of those efforts failed, I instead attempted to convince Theo that kicking an aluminum can around a large open space in front of a church was like being at a playground. It kind of worked.
