New Toys
We don’t obtain a ton of stuff, so Theo is often inspired to find joy in ‘toys’ like salad spinners and mops. However, we’ve picked up a few new toys in India: wooden stamps and a toy tuk tuk.

Thankfulness
There are many things I’m thankful for: family, friends, interesting and meaningful work, and the opportunity to explore the world around me.
On the exploration front, today I’m grateful to have been able to explore a little more of Delhi on a walk with Salaam Baalak Trust, an NGO in India that provides a safe and caring environment for street and working children.
The Chai Is Falling
Our neighbors are incredibly nice and frequently ply cookies, nuts, and other treats upon us – especially Theo. So, as a small thank you, Theo and I took them a box of sweets from a nearby shop.
Eating in India
If I had to pick one country’s cuisine to eat for the rest of my life, it would be India’s, no contest. (I do understand that I’ve only experienced a small slice of the amazingly varied cuisine of this country. However, based on everything I have eaten, I stand by my choice.)
Our Air B&B hosts connected us with Jaya, the woman who cooked for them when they lived in this apartment, and so we have super fresh, tasty meals in our apartment for most meals.

Guru Nanak Gurpurab
India has many, many holidays, perhaps in large part because of its many, many religions. Wednesday November 25th was Guru Nanak Gurpurab, which celebrates the birthday of the first Sikh guru. Here is Theo’s Guru Nanak coloring sheet from school.
Hauz Khas
Hauz Khas village in South Delhi is a trendy place for shopping and eating where we visited a “chocolate vault.”
