Fındıklı Parkı

Our apartment in Istanbul is lovely, but in a more upscale-hotel-centered neighborhood than I realized, which means that we haven’t found many nearby playgrounds.

(Though, when searching for playgrounds online, I did learn that our neighborhood is considered a playground for adults. This explains the signs describing the prices for different numbers of shots of alcohol in front of several nearby restaurants.)

Probably the most easily reached children’s playground is Fındıklı Parkı, which is a quick walk and two trains away.

The play structures are a little worn-down, but the view is amazing.

Theo played ball with a boy just a few weeks younger than he is; really, I think they mostly just collectively tried to gauge how often they could kick their balls towards the water before their parents would stop fetching them.
