Oh look! It’s another beach!

Yesterday, we were planning to visit some horses who hang out in a field about a three minute drive from our house. (Theo insisted on bringing his imaginary horse, Daniel, who was apparently wearing a green shirt.)

As soon as we got in the car, however, it started sprinkling, so I decided that we’d try to out drive the rain clouds. Unfortunately, I have the tendency to try to keep driving until I find the PERFECT PLACE, and my perfectionism often clashes with patience level of a toddler. We accidentally ended up in Limassol (about 40 minutes from our house), drove over an extremely bumpy road (which Theo hated, until I started singing a song about bumps, after which he loved it) and ended up at a beach. Since we end up at a beach 95.9% of all days in Cyprus, this wasn’t particularly novel, but it was better than continuing to drive over bumpy roads.

As we were about to leave, a man arrived with his toddler and a kite. The other toddler wasn’t interested in the kite, but Theo loved it. He only dropped it in the water twice, and I only had to wade into the water to retrieve it once.

On the way back, we stopped to visit the horses. And it sprinkled on us. Oh well.
