Since we’re headed to somewhat warmer climates for the rest of the winter (Turkey and then Cyprus), we were excited to get a dose of snow before we left Croatia, even if it has made exploring Zagreb a bit more shivery.
Theo has spent most of his life in Oakland, California, so snow is fairly novel to him. When he saw the snow yesterday morning (from the safety of indoors), he was super excited. When we went outside and he actually felt it hitting his face, he transitioned to horrified. However, after realizing that snow makes the city pretty much like a giant sandbox, he was back to excited again.
My mother and sister are visiting for the holidays. Since they live in New York and Ohio, the snow was a little less novel for them. My sister still indulged in some snow-catching fun.
